Edith Piaf and Champion Marcel Cerdan

On October 28, 1949, Edith Piaf waited Marcel Cerdan, her new love, who was to join to her by the flight from Paris to New York. In vain because Marcel never arrived, his plane had crashed in the night over the Azores.
A year earlier, on September 21, 1948, Marcel Cerdan won the title of world champion boxing middleweight by technical knockout against King KO, Tony Zale. On September 14, 1949, a few weeks before his death, she sang Hymne à l’amour at Versailles, a cabaret in New York.
Following this second loss of a loved one, after that of her daughter, Edith Piaf began taking morphine prostrated with grief and pain caused by an acute arthritis. She sang the Hymne à l’amour and also Mon Dieu in memory of Marcel.

  • In the Horoscope of Edith Piaf:
On October 28, 1949 is set at 8° 17′ of Virgo. It has a Very Powerful force in House IX conjunct with Midheaven. It is conjunct with natal Mars and transits of Saturn and Mars.
The degree of the year is situated at 3° 20′ of Scorpio. It has a Powerful force through the transit of the Sun. At thirty three years and ten months, he announces the Venus-Mars period. Mars has a Very Powerful force in House IX conjunct with Midheaven.

      Analogies of that death:
    • Mars is the master of the planetary period. It has a Beneficent quality as master of Triangle of Fire and a Very Powerful force, conjunct with Midheaven. It represents Marcel Cerdan, the world champion of boxing, the leader (Midheaven) fighter and warrior (double Mars), her new lover (Mars governor of the House V, that of loves. But he is attacked by Saturn at the Midheaven that has an analogy with the greatest adversities (in House VIII to its natal position and with an Evil quality in Virgo) and also by Pluto, the god of death of ancient times. With a Very Evil quality in Cancer, its sign of Detriment, Saturn also means the end of life (as 4 th derivative house) of lover (from the V th, the loves and lovers).
    • The degree of the day has a Very Powerful force positioned between Mars and Midheaven. It involves the same energies of Mars, the master of the period, Saturn (the greatest adversities) and Pluto (disruption and death).
    • The degree of the year has a Powerful force, conjunct with the transit of Sun in House XII. It also means greatest adversities (like 8 th derivative house) of lover (from the V th, the loves and lovers).
  • In the Solar Revolution of 1949 (SR 1949):
On October 28, 1949 is situated at 8° of Virgo in House IX and conjunct with both Midheavens. It is conjunct with Saturn of SR and natal Mars.
The degree of the year is set to 29° 28′ of Libra. It is conjunct with both cusps of Houses XII.
The planetary period is that of Venus-Mars.

      Most of Solar:
    • In this Solar Revolution, houses of SR merge with natal houses. This dual position does double the power of the angles of the chart. The degree of the day has a Very Very Very Powerful force, conjunct with both Midheavens, Saturn of SR and natal Mars. Saturn has an Evil quality in Virgo. It is the determination of the end (dissonant Saturn) of the Champion (Mars, the sports leader has a conjunction with MC).
    • Venus of SR has a Very Powerful force, conjunct with both Ascendants. Venus in Scorpio has a Middle quality into its sign of Detriment. That is an analogy with the end (as governor of both Houses XII = exile + in Detriment in Scorpio) of love (innate meaning of Venus).
