From this victory in a few months, Hitler succeeded in eliminating the communist deputies in order to secure a majority in the German parliament, to obtain full powers and to suspend all freedoms (burning of the Reichstag on 27 February 1933). Thus Hitler’s dreams, which he announced in Mein Kampf under the name of the Third Reich, became a reality.
